Ministry of Justice Launches the Second Edition of Revista SUSP

Brasília (12.05.2022) – The Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) launches the 2nd Edition of Susp Magazine. The journal aims to promote technical and scientific knowledge and is intertwined with the project of permanent education and research applied to security policy and carried out within the scope of the Secretariat for Management and Education in Public Security (Segen).

The second edition of Susp Magazine brings together knowledge and analyzes prepared by researchers and public security operators, who work in defense and maintenance of social peace.

The scientific journal was established by the Secretariat for Management and Education in Public Security (Segen/MJSP) and aims to expand knowledge in the fields of public security and social defense, as well as to promote the sharing of successful experiences , scientific development, education and improvement of the knowledge of Susp professionals.

As an institutional mechanism, the Susp Magazine provides formal communication of the results of scientific and applied research to the surrounding society, which are produced by researchers, Susp system operators and/or by (inter)national institutions. The initiative also expands the technical-scientific development of public security by increasingly providing professional improvement through the training and qualification of operators who are part of Public Security.

The volume begins with a presentation by the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Anderson Gustavo Torres, reflecting on the importance of research and scientific knowledge for strengthening and improving public security in Brazil. Next, the Articles section presents thirteen articles that make up the main section of the journal.
